I know that everybody is very busy with lots of games but I have arranged for an in-season 3-man training session.  We are very lucky to have Michael Goebel and Steve Hilgendorf graciously give their time and knowledge to make us better umpires. DESCRIPTION:Possibly the most valuable training we get all year is the few hours we get to spend in the batting cages before the season.  Here we use pitching machines to simulate real pitches and we get behind a “catcher” and make the calls under the supervision of our peers.  Be sure to bring and to wear all appropriate safety gear for this one.  In addition\, a few gloves are always nice to have around.

DESCRIPTION:This will be an orientation meeting for new umpires wanting to join the NBUA.   \nRemember it’s not too late to refer someone and\, for each referral\, you receive $100 after the apprentice has worked thirty games.
