DESCRIPTION:Fellow Members of NBUA\, \nAs we move into 2022 with expectations of success and fun on the diamond\, we look forward to the chance to umpire baseball with our brethren umpires and friends. \nOn Monday\, January 24th at 6:30 PM\, your Northwest Baseball Umpires Association will hold its 2022 Annual General Meeting. You will be appraised of the state of the Association from your Board members and committee chairmen. \nThis meeting usually marks a chance to see our friends and reconnect and the start of our season but\, because of circumstances\, the meeting will be held virtually via Zoom\, the application we will be using for many meetings and training. A link to logon to the meeting will be sent to you soon. \nIt is not necessary to install the Zoom application. Your device will open a web browser when you click on the meeting link and\, after entering your name so we can track attendance\, you can simply click “join”. DESCRIPTION:This will be the first of many training sessions offered for Apprentice umpires in the NBUA for 2022.  This session will provide you with an Introduction to the NBUA and to baseball umpiring in general.  We will discuss how the training schedule works\, how you acquire uniforms and protective equipment\, how the ranking (tier) system works in the NBUA and other basic questions will be answered   This meeting will be held over Zoom and the invitation to the meeting will be handed out to all new umpires (if you do not have an invitation yet feel free to contact any of the board members listed under the Contacts section of this website).

DESCRIPTION:This second training session for new Apprentice umpires will be held in person (COVID permitting).  It is strongly suggested that you be fully vaccinated and to wear a proper and effective mask to this meeting.  Attendees can expect to receive their NBUA notebooks at this session. \nThe classroom for these meetings is generally located in the upstairs of the building closest to the football field.
