Fellow Members of NBUA,

As we move into 2022 with expectations of success and fun on the diamond, we look forward to the chance to umpire baseball with our brethren umpires and friends.

On Monday, January 24^th at 6:30 PM, your Northwest Baseball Umpires Association will hold its 2022 Annual General Meeting. You will be appraised of the state of the Association from your Board members and committee chairmen.

This meeting usually marks a chance to see our friends and reconnect and the start of our season but, because of circumstances, the meeting will be held virtually via Zoom, the application we will be using for many meetings and training. A link to logon to the meeting will be sent to you soon.

It is not necessary to install the Zoom application. Your device will open a web browser when you click on the meeting link and, after entering your name so we can track attendance, you can simply click “join”. The good news is you don’t have to watch any of the instructional videos or, essentially, do anything other than clicking on the invitation link, but it helps to be somewhat familiar with navigating in Zoom. Go ahead and open Zoom and invite a couple of fellow umpires in for a rules discussion or connect with a cross-country relative or friend for a video chat!
